Craig Carscadden från Frampton Cotterell nära Bristol har tilldelats en MBE (The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) för sina tjänster till idrottare med funktionshinder och till Paralympics.
Ursprungligen en idrottsman i 1996 års olympiska spelen i Atlanta har han sedan gått till att bli involverad i Cerebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association (CPISRA) bland andra grupper och har hjälpt hundratals ungdomar att tävla inom parasport.
Han sa att priset kom som ”en fullständig överraskning”.
